Manchester United made an £8million offer for the Southampton defender in the summer.

Southampton defender Jose Fonte has confirmed he was the subject of a bid from Manchester United this summer.
Jose Mourinho keen to add his experience to the Reds' backline and sanctioned an £8million offer for the 32-year-old.
Fonte says he is now focused on helping Southampton achieve their goals – but admitted he has big ambitions he wants to fulfil before he calls time on his playing days.
Speaking while on international duty with Portugal, he said: “Was I disappointed the Man United move didn’t happen?
“Let’s leave that for another time. Now I’m focused on Southampton.”
Pushed further, he added: “I have lots of targets: to play in the Champions League, to play in a World Cup, to win a trophy in England.”
He later released a statement on his official Facebook account, which read: "Once in the national team only national team interviews/talks are allowed hence my 'let's leave that for another time' when asked about questions regarding my own club situation.
"To make it perfectly clear to everyone that might have some difficulty understanding I am a Southampton player, and proudly have been since 2010, understand that once I step on the pitch with the saints shirt and armband I give my blood, sweat and tears for the club and will always will no matter what you read or think.
"My professionalism means everything to me, and no one can point me a finger about it. I am fully committed to succeed with my two teams @southamptonfc and @selecoesportugal.
