RASHFORD'S EUROPA LEAGUE

RASHFORD'S EUROPA LEAGUE
MEMORIES Marcus Rashford admits the Europa League
will always hold a special place in his heart
after he burst onto the scene with two goals
on a memorable Manchester United debut
last season. The 18-year-old striker was thrust into the
spotlight at short notice when Anthony
Martial picked up an injury while warming up
for the round of 32 second-leg clash
with Midtjylland. Rashford scored twice in a
5-1 win at Old Trafford and has not looked back since as he has starred for both club and
country.
"For me that was the start of everything so
it's very important for me," he told MUTV, when asked about that night in the Europa
League. "The fans really helped me that night. "Whatever you think about before the game
and how you imagine they'll be, it's
completely different. That's the biggest thing I
remember. They were amazing. "We're in the competition again and we want
to win it. It's a competition the club have
never won and we'd be very happy if we can
be the first United team to do that."
