Xavi has shed light on the future of Barcelona with defender Gerard Pique hoping to become presidentofthe club, whilst enlisting the help of some of the legendary names from the recent period of success at the Nou Camp.

Speaking to Spanish radio channel Cadena SERon Tuesday evening, the midfielder, who is current plying his trade in Qatar with Al Sadd, revealed that his former teammate is hoping to call on the likes of Carlos Puyol and Sergio Busquets to oversee the next generation of success in Catalunya.

Despite no longer appearing for the Blaugrana, Xavi is well aware of ongoings at the club of his heartand remains happy to pass comment on Luis Enrique's side.

The legendary number 6 spoke of fellow Catalan Pique's desire to move from a playing position to that of a presidential role as a means of supporting Barcelona's identity that he holds in such high regard.

With a number of high profile academy graduates at the club and across the continent, Pique's concept to install Xavi as managerwould symbolically mark a rise from the bottom to the very top at Barcelona, a policy Nou Camp chiefs have implemented previously with Pep Guardiola.
